The brief was to create a more useable outdoor area which could capitalize on the fantastic water views from this modern split level waterfront home all the time bringing the outdoors inside. The challenge was the steep sloping site founded on sandstone bedrock, from craning in the structural steel columns and beams to pouring the concrete foundations for the two story deck.

The use of beautiful Australian hardwoods throughout alongside custom vertical hardwood batten screening, matt black powder coated steel, and frameless glass balaustrades created an uber sophisticated, contemporary abode. We also continued the vertical batten screening from outside, inside the house kitchen area to make the transition between inside and out seamless.  Lastly an automated
openable roof “Vergola” system meant you could use the new outdoor kitchen and dining space rain, hail or shine.
