The challenge of this build involved transforming the restrictive blueprint of this dark and claustrophobic 1950’s harbourside apartment block into a modern light open-plan layout for a young growing family. Hancock Homes transformed the original 1 bath 3 bed unit by adding a second bathroom / ensuite into the site of the original walk in robe, a separate laundry, and a new seamless flow of space that brought in the water harbour views throughout the apartment. A complete re-engineering of the structural elements within the unit enabled the kitchen, living and dining to flow in one combined space framed by the floor to ceiling views of the water. Luxe finishes included Calcutta marble stone bench tops, splash backs, vanities and wall panels and aged brass fittings and fixtures, with a complete custom  smart home technology enablement completing the metamorphosis of this unit from 1950s into 2022.
